  6.         This program is a complete financial package that will inform you of the effects of any financial decision that you may wish to make.  It calculates interest rates, term of a loan, investment performance and much, much more.

  8.         As usual a 'double click' on the '$' icon will run this financial package and from there the normal Mac© methods are employed.  If you are not familiar with standard Mac© terminology and procedures, may we suggest that you familiarise yourself with these before proceeding.  Within half an hour you should be able to compete with your local Bank Manager, working out loan repayments, investments etc.

  10.         From the title page you may select from 'FILE', 'LOANS' or 'INVESTMENT' and then select the appropriate section for your requirements.

  15.         This allows a choice between 'PAGE SETUP' and 'QUIT'.  It is recommended that you set up the page before printing out any calculations.  'QUIT' is self explanatory.

  24.         The first four selections in this category all work on a similar basis.  Select the desired function from the 'pull-down' menu, fill in the blanks in the 'edit' boxes, press 'CALCULATE' and the answer is displayed near the bottom of the screen.  You may change the figures as often as you wish and see the results.  If you wish to print your figures, press the 'PRINT' button and a hard copy will be printed to study at your leisure.  Of course you must ensure that your printer is switched on and installed through the 'CHOOSER' function of your machine.

  26.         Amortization is a long and involved program that lists the amount amortized, interest paid, remaining balance etc. on a payment by payment basis.  If you wish to exit this section, pressing 'ESC' will take you to the entry page.  You may exit from there or make changes to your figures and then recalculate them.

  38.         These work in an identical fashion to the first four of the 'LOANS' menu.

  40.         The 'REG. DEPOSITS' function may be used to calculate Superannuation benefits but care should be taken as interest rates and amounts deposited will probably alter over the lengthy time that this would normally accrue.
